2017年4月10日至13日，“全球水循环观测与模拟”高端论坛在位于贵阳市的中国科学院地球化学研究所召开。此次论坛由中科院遥感与数字地球研究所遥感科学国家重点实验室和国家空间科学中心微波遥感技术重点实验室联合举办，中科院地球化学研究所和地理科学与资源研究所协办。来自遥感地球所、空间中心、国家卫星气象中心、清华大学、北京师范大学等高校和科研院所的50余名研究人员参加论坛。
2017年4月5-7日，中国气象学会改革工作专题研讨会暨2017年全国气象学会秘书长会议、中国气象学会分支机构工作会议在六盘水顺利召开。贵州省气象局副局长李登文及六盘水市委副书记魏雄军、市政府副市长张涛等出席会议并致辞，来自全国各省、自治区、直辖市气象学会的秘书长代表、中国气象学会学科委员会代表等80余人与会，中国气象学会秘书长翟盘茂、兼职副秘书长臧海佳、何都良和学会秘书处有关人员等参加会议。
