近日，由韩国现代工程与建筑公司（Hyundai E&C）的企业联队与韩国水电核电公司（KHNP）签署了一份价值3.1万亿韩元（约合24亿美元）的合同，在庆尚北道地区建设新荷娜（Shin-Hanul）核电厂3、4号机组。这两台机组单价容量1400 MWe，建设工期约为115个月。
