在最新出版的国际权威学术刊物Geology上，发表了我院鹿化煜教授及其合作者的研究论文。他们通过分析地质证据和用古气候模型模拟，提出了全球二氧化碳浓度与季风降水的可能联系，指出末次冰期以来二氧化碳浓度变化驱使的北半球冰量/冰盖变化是东亚季风降水的主要驱动因素。同时，美国地质学会新闻网站还对这项研究了做了封面报道。
