从上个世纪90年代以来，认知语言学在中国语言学界蓬勃发展，渗透到语言研究的各个方面。代表性的研究主题有宏观理论探讨、隐喻、构块语法和语用的认知研究等；发展中存在认知泛化和创新不够等问题。展望未来，认知语言学在汉语研究、对比研究、应用性研究和交叉研究等方面该有可为。
欧洲人丈主义的精神语言观、活动语言观、有机整体观，是人类语言与文化研究的宝贵遗产。本文较为系统地评介了洪堡特关于语言是精神的创造活动观、克罗齐关于语言和美学统一的思怒以及浮士勒的唯美主义语言观，并在对三者进行比较的基础上，得出了任何语言变化都是精神选择的结果这一结论。
