中美“两国集团冶(G2)构想自2008年6月正式提出以来,便受到中美学界和媒体热议。 该构想的出炉具有深刻的国际体系和中美双边关系背景,也与美国次贷危机逐渐演变成全球金融危机和经济衰退大有关系。 构想的提出对推进中美关系具有一定的积极意义,但认知结构、经济共生结构和国际权力结构等三方面的制约因素决定该构想目前尚不可行。
