青海师范大学音乐学院是青海省成立最早的高等艺术院系。它的前身是1958年成立的青海师大艺术系，涵盖音乐、美术两大学科。2003年2月，在艺术系的办学基础上分离组建了青海师范大学音乐学院。2016年10月更名为青海师范大学音乐学院。青海师范大学音乐学院现设音乐学、音乐表演、舞蹈学三个本科专业。有声乐、器乐、音乐理论、舞蹈、学科教育五个教研室及青海师范大学民族民间音乐研究中心。
