马桥文化是三、四千年前太湖流域继良渚文化之后的考古遗址文化，具有典型的古越族特征。现代上海南郊马桥地区的居民至今仍有许多与史前相似的习俗。马桥地区的独特方言分布于冈身地带及相邻地区，具有齐全的紧喉浊塞音声母系统，有侗台语族的特征。在10 个侗台语族语种的上千条词目中找到了126 个语音语义都与马桥话相近的词，比对字词之间存在着颇为规则的语音对应规律。这些字词都是语言中不易借变的成份，很可能是古越语...
