陕西省文物保护研究院（下简称：我院）前身是陕西省文物管理委员会，从上世纪50年代开始，即致力于陕西省文物的保护与管理工作，曾主持了多项省内重要文物点的考古调查、发掘清理，以及古建筑维修、文物保护等工作，为陕西省的文物保护事业做出了很大的贡献。
